Listening: A Skill For Lovers & Friends
Hey hope you’re having a great day.
Learning how to listen is a key skill in any successful relationship. It doesn’t matter if you’re friends, married, or a family.
There are many different ways to listen also. Sometimes it’s with the ears and sometimes there are words being spoken that don’t come from the mouth.
For men this is especially true. We many times expect our partners to “know what we are thinking”. Many times we show how
we feel through the way we act, and don’t always say what we mean or feel.
Sometimes we don’t know how, sometimes we are lazy or just don’t want to.
Listening is the key to great communication and great communication is the key to understanding one another in a relationship, which generally leads to success.
I think what makes the lack of listening so frustrating in relationships is that we know that the other person knows how to listen, and if they tried they could be a good listener.
How do we know this? Well think back to the first couple of times that you were ever with that person.
They almost hung onto every word that came out of your mouth. They…
…”Listened”.
They showed interest and care in what you were saying. Why?
Because they knew that it was indeed important.
Somewhere along the line people can lose site of how important listening is, and how selfish it is to not want to listen.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed:

P.S. If you really want to impress someone show them that you care about them, and show them by listening to what they say and how they feel.
